Day 1 September 29

After driving in rain all day, it's heartening to see a little bit of blue skies. 

Our first night stay us in New Lisbon, just over the Indiana border. 

We have one side with lakefront and the other side is fields. 

While we were taking the dogs on a walk around the lake, Bill found his resting place 

And finally, our fire. 

Westward Ho in our tiny home.

Bill, Lenny, Reuben and I will be embarking on a month-long trip west.  Follow along with us to see if we can manage to live in 200 square foot and stay smiling and married. We plan to stop to see Drew and Erin first and then head east to the Grand Canyon so Bill can hike down and back and check off one of the items on his bucket list. Linda Zubler will meet me there so we can hike around the Grand Canyon and Sedona. Then we'll all head to Bryce Canyon and maybe Zion National Park. What do you think? Can we do it?  

We left around 9 am, Thursday, in the rain. We are hoping to get to to Indianapolis today. 

Stopped at a rest stop around Barkeyville, just about 45 minutes from the Ohio line.
