April 2 - headed west to Phoenix

Decided to go halfway to Joshua Tree which was Phoenix. Stayed in a private campground that has seen its best years.

Along the way, this is some of what we saw. 

Yep, a herd of mule deer.

A few saguaros but Bill said they will get larger!

Arrived at our campground and as we were setting up, our electric wouldn’t work. We thought it was the site so Bill hooked back up and moved to another spot but no better. Then our neighbor came by to see if we need help. He had a tested and we determined that our cable end that hooks to the camper was bad. So they took it apart and sure enough the plug had gotten fried at some point. Lucky for us there was an RV service store very close (since it was already 4 pm. We got a new plug and Bill and our neighbor, Darrel put the new end on our cable. It WORKS!  First time. YAY. We are back in business. 

So after dinner, we went on a short walk around the park. We did see larger saguaros and a beautiful sunset.
