April 7 - hike and dinner with Drew and Erin

After torrential rains yesterday and this a.m., the skies cleared and we had sun. Decided to hike a trail in Auburn that ran alongside the American River. 

Butterflies were all over. Trail was an old railroad bed so it was pretty easy. Hiked back to a waterfall that had water flowing heavily since the rains. 

After about 3.5 miles, went back to the campground to get ready to meet Erin and Drew for dinner in Roseville at the Monk’s Cellar Brewery. Great to see the kids.
