Day 13 - Driving southeast CA

Today was a driving day, headed to The Grand Canyon. We plan to stay in Barstow, CA. 

Some pics as we are driving:

Can't see much of the mountain because of the smog. 

Stopped at a Fruit and Nut Store. Delicious oranges, figs, olive oil.

Saw a wind farm at Techachpi, CA. 

Arrived at our campground, Shady Gove RV Park in Barstow. It's a dusty, dingy, dying desert town. Campground is nice though. 

Couldn't have a fire because they aren't allowed, so Bill made mountain pies with the camp stove.
