Day 26 - Arches National Park

The Park lies atop an underground salt bed that is responsible for the arches, spires, balanced rock, sandstone fins. Water and ice, extreme temperatures, and underground salt movement are responsible for the sculptures rock scenery.

The Three Gossips.

Courthouse Towers

Bill drove us on through Arches NP to the Devils Garden trailhead. Since the dogs weren't allowed to hike in the NP, Bill decided to go into Moab to get the oil changed in the truck.

Linda and I started up the trail seeing these arches:

Landscape Arch

We walked through Devils Garden Campground to see the Skyline Arch:

Then the Tapestry Arch

Delicate Arch

North Window

South Window

Turret Arch

Double Arch

After a beer and lunch break at Moab Brewery, we took off up Route 128 along the Colorado.

Although Linda and I had already reached over 15,000 steps, we decided to hike Negro Bill's Canyon. The dogs were able to be off lease and were very happy.

Very tired, we headed back to camp.
